TOGETHER AGAIN!

May 25-27

Eva picked me up after my "free highspeed breakfast." and we checked into a very nice hotel for three wonderful days together. We did some sightseeing in Santa Fe, attended Christ the King Anglican Church in Albuquerque, saw a movie (ate way too much popcorn), enjoyed lots of good food, and enjoyed just being together!

My feet and legs have been getting stronger and with the rest I got in Albuquerque I am feeling strong and healthy. Thanks for the encouragement, advice, and prayers for my heath, I am feeling great!

On Monday morning, Eva drove me back to Cuba and I resumed hiking the CDT with new shoes! It's only 147 miles to Colorado and I'm looking forward to the change in terrain. For most of Colorado, the trail is above 10,000 feet and the challenge will no longer be a lack of water but snow!

Thanks for following along!

You look fit as a fiddle - ready for whatever the trail has in store for you. I will pray that fires don't get in your way. Seems like it's going to be another bad season.

The pictures have been great, Loren, and I loved your video of the wind. Very clever!!

All is well and all will be well. Peace, Anne

Good for you and Eva. It's so nice to see your sweetie when on a long trail. Katie came out to Breckenridge when I hiked it, and we went to Rocky Mountain NP together. That bit of connection mid hike is sooooo important. Love following your progress, even when you're stopped for zeros with your wife! Hike on!
